We have a good mix of stuff in this week's Blogroll so let's get right to it!
AMISH DISHPAN COOKIES: I was excited to see this recipe on Patricia's website. I see this recipe a lot in Amish cookbooks and I almost made some with Aster last week but I think we were missing a key ingredient or two. So, if you want a delicious, authentically Amish cookie, try this!
MENNONITE MEATLOAF: This is a delicious looking recipe from the Charm City Ramblings blog, a meatloaf recipe from a Mennonite cookbook. There's nothing better than a classic, juicy meatloaf (and nothing worse than a dry brick of a meatloaf). Click here for this recipe!
AMISH SCHOOLS: Amish Indiana is doing some great work lately in original postings. We've talked a lot about Amish schools on this site, but interesting to get a different perspective sometimes. Click here for an interesting post about Amish schools.
A FAVORITE PHOTO - KATIE TROYER - She posts a great photo this week of an Amish couple from the Berne, Indiana area (you can tell by the distinctive blue hues of the clothing) in Pinecraft. Love the photo. Click here to see.
BRUCE STAMBAUGH - A really great post, as always, from Bruce this week. So, when you are with your spouse, do you chat away the miles in the car? Or sit in silence? For Bruce and his bride, silence rules. I'm a talker, I'd much rather talk away the miles whereas my wife is more of a reader and window-watcher and sleeper. I suppose if you get a couple compatible either way it works best. Click here for Bruce's latest.
