Okay, buckle your seat belt and get ready to for our weekly whirl through the blogosphere in search of anything and everything Amish or Plain.  Have some fun recipes and interesting photos to share this week, so enjoy!

BRIANA'S FUN BEAN SOUP - For newbies here, Briana Thomas is a talented young conservative Mennonite blogger and cook.  She brings a great enthusiasm to her blog and some wonderful recipes and unlike a lot of cooking styles from the Amish and Mennonite tradition, her creations won't kill your diet.  Click here for a recipe for homemade bean soup.

MEEMAW VISITS AN AMISH COUNTRY STORE:  I love this blog, "Meemaw" tries recipes, visits different parts of the country, etc...she recently visited a classic Amish dry goods store in Kalona, Iowa.  I have been to Kalona once but it was years and years ago.  So I am due for another visit sometime. Check out her post here, this store just seems like a very typical Amish dry goods store. Great photos and explanations!

PICTURES OF AMISH COUNTRY:  The Olean, New York newspaper captured the emerging springtime in western New York's Amish country. Check out the pastoral photos here.

BEVERLY LEWIS'S SNITZ PIE:  The reigning queen of Amish fiction shares a classic recipe for Amish "snitz pie."  Click here.

CLASSIC AMISH HAYSTACK RECIPE:  Haystacks have been featured in The Amish Cook column many times over the years. Click here for a recipe.
