We have some fun entries today, so let's strap ourselves in and get ready for our weekly whirl through the blogosphere in search of everything and anything Plain!

EDIBLE PLAY-DOH: I laughed at this recipe that comes from an Amish cookbook.  I could see me fixing this for Aster. She loves Play-Doh, but I doubt I'd fix this for Bea.  All the work that goes into telling her not to eat Play-Doh and then I'd be giving her edible Play-Doh.  Nah. I'll wait.  But here is the recipe.

AMISH CARAMELS:  This looks like a wonderful, easy recipe for creamy, homemade caramels just in time for the holiday season. I do wish the post had explored a bit more of the Amish angle behind the recipe.  But click here for the recipe, looks good!

BLOG SPIN - AMISH POTATO STUFFING:  I spun the wheel and this week it landed on Amish Potato Stuffing....click here for this amazing sounding and looking recipe!

BRUCE STAMBAUGH: Check out Bruce's eloquent ode to autumn and tip of the hat to our departing friend: summer.  Click here.

A serene scene from Ethridge, Tennessee...

ETHRIDGE, TENNESSEE:  Let's check in this week with Eric Wesner who shares some photos from one of my favorite Amish communities: Ethridge, Tennessee.  Visit in the winter, though. Geez, when I ws in Ethridge, it was a broiling 100 degrees.  Not a fun place to be then. Click here for a photo tour of Ethridge.
