Okay, we have an interesting mix today on blogroll, so sit back and enjoy!

CHERYL'S LANCASTER COLLAGE PAINTING:  Another gem by Rhode Island artist Cheryl McNulty, this time she has created a collage showing a serene Lancaster County scene.  I think the picture really captures the simplicity and serenity of this heart of Amish country.  Click here to take a look!

AMISH APPLE SPONGE PUDDING:  Our friends at Dutchcrafters posted this wonderful apple sponge pudding recipe awhile back and I wanted to share it wiith you.  This is a very traditional dish enjoyed year-round in most Amish homes where they'd have a supply of storage apples. Click here.

GOOD FRIDAY PHOTO:  A gorgeous photo by Bruce Stambaugh showing an Amish Good Friday church scene. Now, I will say, that Good Friday church observances among the Amish are not a universal thing.  You can go to,say, Berne, Indiana's Amish community and Good Friday passes without a pause.  So the tradition of a Good Friday worship is very much a community to community thing.  Click here to see the photo.

WAITING FOR THE BUS:  Check out Katie Troyer's photos from the Amish enclave of Pinecraft, which is winding down its peak season now.  With Easter over with, there is an exodus occurring right now of Amish streaming north.  Katie captures some of that this week.

CARROT CAKE:  Check out this delicious Mennonite recipe!

BLOG SPIN!  Okay, we spun the wheel and it landed on a couple of interesting blog posts, the first one, Amish Crockpot white bread?    The vast majority of Amish wouldn't have a crockpot...so...I don't know....but check out the recipe here.

AMISH HAM CASSEROLE - Still have some leftover ham from Easter?  Use it up in this delicious Amish casserole recipe!
