We have an interesting mix today on blogroll so let's get right to it!

SARAH HUGGING A COW:  I'll admit I was a little leery of this at first.  After all, the Amish aren't necessarily known for their wonderful treatment of animals.  Well, let me stop....Some Amish are not.  Others, especially children, would do just what this girl is doing in the painting, hugging and loving on the cow.  As adults, many Amish just view livestock as another farm commodity, such is the transactional nature of Amish culture. But an Amish kid?  Yeah, you'd be apt to see something like this and I think the painting turned out superbly.  Click to view Cheryl's latest Amish-themed painting here.

Wow, this looks like quite a cake!

BEVERLY LEWIS'S MAYONNAISE CAKE:    The recipe comes from the Beverly Lewis Amish Heritage Cookbook  and is featured on Patricia's Patchwork Quilt site....I like the looks of this cake, it looks moist and chocolate chippy.  My kind of cake.  If a cake doesn't have frosting, the next best thing is some chocolate chips.  Click here for the recipe for mayonnaise cake!

FROSTED ZUCCHINI BARS:  Oh wow...now these look amazing....the frosting looks amazing, so who cares about the bar beneath?  Well, if it is a moist, cakey bar then that just adds to the wonderfulness.  Click here for the recipe for frosted zucchini bars.

GOOD'S STORE:  Anyone heard of it?  I've heard it's an amazing Pennsylvania Dutch shopping experience.  Gina has a review of it - and a special discount - on her blog here.

BLOG SPIN - DONNA SUE'S AMISH CHURCH COOKIES:  Wow, oh wow, is all I can say for this one.  These really do look amazing.  My problem with cookies like this is I can't just eat one, I want to eat 3 - 4.  Good stuff.  Click here.
