Weekly Blogroll: Morning Glory Muffins, Yoder's Consignment Auction, Amish Tomato Pie, and More!

Time for weekly Blogroll.  Have a great mix of topics to delve into.

    Morning Glory Muffins

MORNING GLORY MUFFINS:  This is a recipe that shows up in a lot of Amish cookbooks and I'm not sure why.  I'm kind of sour on muffins these days.  It just seems like so many of them are dry and crumbly and if I'm going to have a muffin, why not just have a cupcake instead?  At least you'd get some frosting . But I was glad to see that Patricia over at the Patchwork Quilt blog tried making these, I had wanted to see what they look like and she gave them rave reviews so maybe I'll have to rethink my muffin melancholy. Click here for the recipe.

YODER CONSIGNMENT AUCTION:  This is a huge event held each year on Ernest and Esther Yoder's farm.  I spoke to Ernest on the phone once years ago, sounds like the auction is quite an undertaking.  You can read more about it here.

PINECRAFT QUIET -  Check out Katie Troyer's blog as our favorite Amish enclave slips into its summer slumber.

EASY AMISH CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS - Check out this mainstay meal that is commonly found on Amish supper menus! Click here.

BLOG SPIN - We spun the wheel and it landed on a couple old posts:

SOUR CREAM DROP COOKIES:  These do look good...

AMISH SUMMER SAVORY TOMATO PIE:  So, when your tomatoes begin to plump up and turn red this summer, keep this recipe in mind! Click here.
