We have an interesting potpourri of posts to share this week in Blogroll.  Let's unpack them now!

    MeeMaw's Chewy oatmeal dishpan cookies....

CHEWY OATMEAL DISHPAN COOKIES:  Dishpan cookies are popular among the Amish because, well, you can do a lot with them.  Meemaw hails from the Kalona, Iowa area with one of the largest Amish populations in the state.  Meemaw is lucky enough to be able to buy from the Amish-stores in Kalona and many of her recipes have an Amish aura about them.  Mmmmmm, these cookies are amazing and on my bucket list one day is making my way to Kalona and Meemaw! Click here for her recipe for these amazing sounding and looking cookies!

SAFE WEED KILLER:  Got pesky weeds?  Who doesn't during the summer? Or if you don't, chances are you are using Roundup or some other Ortho concoction to kill them.  But if you are looking for a way to rid your yard of weeds that doesn't involve chemical carpet bombing, this sounds like an amazing option!  Check out Meemaw's recipe and experience here.

AMISH HOME CLEANERS:  And while we are on the topic of less chemical stuff, check out some Amish home "recipes" for furniture polish, window cleaner, and general cleaner, some great options here! Check them out.

TWO MORE AMISH PAINTINGS ON THE WAY BY CHERYL  - I love watching Cheryl McNulty's Amish paintings take shape and glad she shares the step-by-step process.  Take a look at two new paintings that she has started and we'll watch as she updates them.  I think my favorite so far is the young girl hugging the Jersey cow.  I'm now sure if any cow would stay still long enough to hug it, but it's a tranquil optic she is painting!  So, click here to see!

AMISH BACON-CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE:  I guess this recipe is like deconstructing a bacon-cheeseburger and making it into a casserole.  Intriguing!  Check out this tasty-sounding recipe here!
