Well-Known Amish "Faith Healer" Passes Away...

    Published: Aug 8, 2013 · Updated: Aug 8, 2013 by Kevin Williams | 4 Comments

I never crossed paths with Solomon Wickey, but I've heard is name many times over the years and have met plenty of people who have known him.  Some dismissed him as a quack, others swore by his healing prowess.  But one of the Fort Wayne papers is reporting that he has passed away at age 75. Click here to read the article.  Have any of our readers been to see him?  What did you think?

I've read much about the practice of "pow-wowing" From what I have read it is mainly the old order that still does this.

I knew someone who wrote to him and he told her what was wrong and he had it right. She felt better after that. I have lost contact with her over the years.

I went to see Mr. Wickey several years ago. He touched my leg and looked into my eyes. He pushed on my leg several times then said,"I'm sorry but it just won't leave." I have essential tremors. I don't really know what I think of the experience.

My bosses whole family saw him over the years. They really liked him. I'm not into that sort of thing, but I guess if you believe it works maybe it does.
