I'll be talking more about the Amish in Wisconsin in the days ahead, but an article ran in the La Crosse newspaper this morning about the steady trickle of tourists that are making their way into the state's bucolic Plain communities.
The Amish presence in Wisconsin has deep roots. There are old communities near Pardeeville and Portage, Brodhead and Cashton. This article focuses on Cashton. From what I have heard, the Amish communities in and around Cashton are quite conservative. Click here to read more.
