Easy Amish Caramel Apple Pie
a delicious twist on an old favorite!

- 4 -6 baking apples
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¾ cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
Peel and slice apples.
Stir in lemon juice.
Combine dry ingredients and water and bring to a boil while stirring in a saucepan.
Add butter to the thickened mixture and stir over apples.
Pile into an unbaked 9 or 10-inch pie crust and cover with crumb topping or a top crust.
Bake at 350 for about one hour.
