Mennonite Farmhouse Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts
  • 1 /2 cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper

Sauce

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 dash paprika

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over 350°
  • Add butter to shallow baking dish, melt.
  • Dip chicken in butter & roll in flour, salt &pepper. then arrange skin side up in baking dish. (sprinkle with paprika)
  • Cook chicken for 45-60 mins until done
  • Add drippings from chicken, water, sour cream, flour,salt, pepper & paprika to sauce pan, bring to boil stirring constantly.
  • Pour sauce over chicken then serve with mashed potatoes ornoodles.
