Amish Breakfast Casserole
a perfect way to start the day
- 8 slices bread
- 2 cups milk
- ½ teaspoon dried mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 pound grated shredded Cheddar cheese
- ¼ pound butter
- 1 pound sausage fried and drained
- eggs 6 eggs
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Put cubed bread in the bottom of a greased casserole dish or 9x13" baking dish.
In a separate bowl, beat eggs and add milk, salt and dried mustard.
Sprinkle sausage and cheese over the bread.
Slice butter over the cheese, and pour the egg mixture over all
Bakefor 45 minutes to 1 hour, until golden brown
