Amish Stuffed Green Pepper Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef, browned
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pint tomato juice
  • cup rice, cooked
  • ⅛ – ¼ cup brown sugar, or to taste
  • 1 cup green peppers chopped
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika   optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Chop the peppers and set aside.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, drain, and set aside.
  • Cook the rice and set aside
  • .Combine rice, ground beef, peppers, and the rest of the ingredients in a large pot and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
