Amish Easy Buttermilk Biscuit

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 stick butter, melted


  • Makes 12 biscuits
  • Preheat oven to 400 and grease baking sheet or use parchment paper.
  • Combine dry ingredients, then add buttermilk and melted butter, mix until just combined, then knead with hands into a  uniform dough.
  • Drop onto greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-15 min.
