Easy Amish Chicken and Rice

A delicious twist on tradition!

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 3 to 4 cups milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • ¼ cup chopped celery
  • salt to taste
  • parsley to taste
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • 8 pieces of chicken


  • Sprinkle rice on the bottom of 13 X 9.
  • Mix soups, milk, and celery and then pour over rice mixture.
  • Sprinkle with parsley, curry powder, and poultry seasoning and salt as desired.
  • Lay chicken pieces on top and cover with foil.
  • Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours and then turn to 350 and bake for another 90 minutes and remove from oven, or for even fluffier rice, leave in for another 15 minutes.
