Easy Amish Chicken and Rice
A delicious twist on tradition!
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 3 to 4 cups milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- ¼ cup chopped celery
- salt to taste
- parsley to taste
- ½ teaspoon curry powder
- 8 pieces of chicken
Sprinkle rice on the bottom of 13 X 9.
Mix soups, milk, and celery and then pour over rice mixture.
Sprinkle with parsley, curry powder, and poultry seasoning and salt as desired.
Lay chicken pieces on top and cover with foil.
Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours and then turn to 350 and bake for another 90 minutes and remove from oven, or for even fluffier rice, leave in for another 15 minutes.
