Instructions
Soak the crackers in the skim milk and set aside. Drain off the milk just before you make the patties.
Combine all of the ingredients for the patties in a bowl. Then shape mixture into oblong shaped patties and brown slightly on each side in a non stick frying pan.
Save the drippings. and place them in a baking dish.
Make the gravy by adding 3 cups water to the beef drippings. Combine the 2 tablespoon of flour with water.
Bring to a boil, and add the flour mixture to boiling drippings in a thin stream.
Whisk quickly and constantly to prevent lumps.
Season with salt and pepper and the seasonings, and heat until the gravy is thickened.
Pour the gravy over the beef patties and bake at 400* for 30 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes and crusty bread for a real comfort food treat.
