Amish Chocolate Pecan Pie

A Thanksgiving tradition with a chocolate twist

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • ¾ cup Karo (I use natural sweeteners such as maple syrup)
  • ¼ teas salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup  chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup pecans*chopped or halved

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Have an unbaked pie shell ready
  • .In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  • Bake at 375 for 40-50 minutes or until set. Chill and enjoy.
