Amish Sugar Cream Pie
A classic confection made with the most basic Indiana ingredients!

- 3 /4 cup sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 /2 cup butter
- 2 ¼ cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Bake pie crust at 400 until golden and done.
Cook together sugar, milk, and cornstarch over medium heat. Constantly stir using a whisk or wooden spoon.
When thickened, add butter and vanilla.
Pour into a baked pie shell
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Chill until set, usually overnight.
