Amish Bubble-Up Pizza Casserole

This casserole is a deconstructed pizza that percolates with flavor and color!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 pounds sausage or hamburger, browned and seasoned
  • 1 quart pizza sauce
  • ½ cup mushrooms
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ¼ cup diced peppers
  • Pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions
 

  • Cut biscuits into four pieces and toss into a 9x13 inch cake pan.
  • Brown hamburger in a skillet and then spoon on top of the biscuits. You don't need to drain the hamburger.
  • Add remaining ingredients to the biscuit-burger combination and mix together.
  • You may add or omit any pizza toppings of your choice.
  • Bake 1 hour at 275 degrees. Bump up to 325 for the final 15 minutes if necessary.
