Amish Cheesy Cheddar Chowder
an amazingly hot and warm soup!
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- ½ cup diced carrots
- ½ cup diced celery
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
White Sauce
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cubed ham or bacon

In a small saucepan melt the butter.
Add flour and stir until smooth (about 1 minute).
Slowly addmilk while stirring. Cook until thickened. Add grated cheese and stir
