Amish S'more Cookie Bars
Enjoy all the deliciousness of s'mores, without having to build a fire, roast marshmallows, clean off roasting sticks...all the taste, none of the work!
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup butter, softened
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- ⅔ cup flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 6 Tablespoons whipping cream
- 10 ounces milk chocolate candy bars, broken in small pieces
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Combine butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla, beat well.
- Next add dry ingredients and mix all together.
- Press into a 9 by 13 inch pan and bake at 350 for 13-15minutes.
- Do NOT over-bake. Cool completely.
- Heat cream to a simmer then remove from heat, add chocolate pieces, stir until smooth.
- Stir in marshmallows.
- Next spread evenly over cooled crust. Refrigerate and cut into bars.
