Amish Sweet and Salty Fruit Pizza
This delicious blend of fruit and glaze makes for an amazing sweet and salty dessert!
Crust
- 2 ½ cups pretzels, broken
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup butter
Cream Cheese Mixture
- ½ cup powdered sugar (or ½ teas stevia)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 8 ounces whipped topping
- 4 to 6 cups fresh fruit (strawberries, kiwis, peaches, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, etc)
Glaze
- ¾ cup sugar
- 5 heaping tablespoons clear jel
- 3 cups cold water
- 3 tablespoons pineapple or lemon jello
- ¼ teaspoon salt 1
Crust
Preheat oven to 350
Melt butter
Break pretzels, don't crush into powdery crumbs, break into small pieces
Mix butter, brown sugar, and pretzels in a bowl.
Press mixture into a 9 X 13 inch pan and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Cream Cheese Mixture
Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Fold in whipped topping.
If desired add a dash of lemon juice. Spread on top of cooled crust.
Spread fruit on top of cream cheese glaze.
