Fresh Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup clear jel
  • 2 Tablespoons strawberry jello
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

Instructions
 

  • Mix first four ingredients in a kettle.
  • Heat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Make a paste of clear jel and water and stir into sugar mixture.
  • Bring to a boil, simmering for  a few minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add jello
  • .Fold in strawberries when cooled.Spoon into a baked pie crust and top with whipped topping.
