Amish Egg Noodles With Pear Butter Blackened Chicken

Creamy homemade egg noodles topped with blackened chicken and a silky pear butter sauce. This Amish-inspired comfort dish combines traditional noodle-making techniques with a surprisingly elegant twist that works for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients
  

  • boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 pounds of Amish egg noodles
  • pear butter
  • 2 cups of cream style skillet corn
  • 2 cups of diced tomatoes

Instructions
 

  • Turn an outdoor propane grill on high or preheat a skillet with a little oil on high
  • Spread pear butter on all sides of the chicken.
  • Put chicken on the grill or in the skillet and cook thoroughly, letting the pear butter caramelize and blacken
  • Meanwhile, boil water and put in egg noodles for 10 minutes on a roaring boil
  • Remove chicken from heat and remove noodles from heat.
  • Drain noodles and put into a bowl.
  • Stir tomatoes and corn into noodles and pile onto a plate.
  • Add chicken to the noodles and serve.
