    Homemade Applesauce Cake

    Published: May 20, 2013 · Updated: Feb 2, 2021 by Kevin Williams | 4 Comments

This is a sweet, super moist apple sauce cake that can be enjoyed plain, with icing, or with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.  It's a cake that can stand alone on its own, or with a sweet topping.  You choose!   It also can be made in a regular cake pan but it can also be made successfully in a Bundt pan.  So there's some versatility here.  Try and enjoy!  Thanks to reader Buddy for the Bundt experiment and Trish for the cake pan version!

Sadly the pandemic has closed all restaurants down but a few have drive through only. No buffets here in Wisconsinmare open. Our lock down is supposed to be over but it really isn’t. Our boys used to love Ponderosa steakhouse. Sadly we don’t have them anymore.

Hi Kevin. I live in England and sometimes do not know about some of the ingredients in your recipes, Miracle Whip/Salad Dressing being one of them! Any ideas what I can replace this with in the 'good ole' UK? I enjoy looking at your recipes and writings, keep up the good work.

Thank you, Patricia, good to hear from you, I hope things are well across the pond! Heinz sells something called "Salad Cream" in the UK that is the equivalent of the USA's "Miracle Whip." If you can't find "Salad Cream" then mayonnaise would work in a pinch. Good luck with it, hope that helped!
