    Amish Scenes..From?

    Published: May 2, 2012 · Updated: Feb 2, 2021 by Kevin Williams | 3 Comments

I am posting a couple of photos from the same settlement that I posted yesterday's mystery photo.  I'll give the answer later this week.  Look in the comments from yesterday's post, Brent made some superb observations.  I like the sign pictured here, it's just so typical of the home-based business economy that the Amish have evolved towards in many areas.  It really is an ideal situation when an Amish entrepreneur can work from home as opposed to, say, factory work.   The second photo shows a home that really is pretty typical of the homes in this area.  Someone made the observation yesterday that the community seemed a little less prosperous than some and I think that's probably a fair comment.   Although more conservative settlements are generally less "frilly" and might not necessarily be indicative of economic conditions.  But anyway, continue your guessing, I'll post the answer later this week!  I love these photosit makes me want to just head for this settlement and explore.

Ohio/Indiana border, old swampland, might be north of Celina, OH.
