When I was in Cynthiana, Kentucky recently I spotted a horse-drawn buggy in a parking lot. I don't know much about the Amish presence near Cynthiana. I was there on other business. I think what caught me was the horse's color. When I saw that horse it occurred to me that in all my years of visiting Amish settlements and seeing their horses, I rarely see one this color. It also occurred to me how little I really know about horses. Perhaps one of our readers knows what "kind" of horse this is.....it is beautiful, I think.
The buggy was parked in a small strip mall lot, perhaps visiting an insurance agency that was there...
The back of the buggy gives some clues about the Amish community....no orange triangle and, really, not even any reflective tape other than a few strips near the bottom...that indicates to me a very conservative Amish settlement...more in line with Swartzentruber Amish

Horse is a Palamino. Think Roy Rogers' Trigger. Can run from pale to dark gold.

Thanks, Jennifer, I was hoping someone would know!
