Two of the British teens from "Living with the Amish"
I hope you are enjoying this look at my favorite Amish reality TV series and it's one you've probably never seen before because it only aired on the BBC. Â But you can view it here on YouTube. Â Part four of the series visits the Old Order Mennonites around Ashland, Ohio (I didn't realize there were OOM near Ashland). Â Old Order Amish man Jonathan Hershberger just does an outstanding job with the narration of the series. Â He should win an award for his work (although in homage to Amish humility he'd unlikely accept).
I love the look inside an OOM house, a visit to a "scrapbooking party" and the buggy ride. Â This is just an outstanding series and the Plain participants just do such an amazing job of connecting with the British teens. Â Click here to watch Part Four.
There is also some wonderful insight into courtship among the Plain people in this episode. You can really tell that the British teenagers are internalizing their experiences and growing from them and that is one of the most rewarding aspects of this series.
