I have been to an Amish wedding before and while it wasn't exactly like the one featured in this article, there were similarities (we'll do some Amish wedding posts later this year). But while the description of the wedding in the article is quaint that's not why I am sharing it with you. I should have gotten this out earlier, but, wow, for folks in Central Pennsylvania change your plans for tomorrow and attend this Amish wedding feast! What makes this open to the public event a little different is that there are actual Amish cooks participating. THAT is what will make this a feast worth remembering.
This event is being at the Sugar Valley Fire Hall in Clinton County, PA which is about 30 minutes west of Williamsport. Click here for the details and if you are planning to attend, please let me know! Take out meals will even be available!
Secret Lives of Pinecraft: This is really not a bad story, it's more the headline that caught my eye: "A Look Into the Secret Lives of the Amish Pinecraft." There's really nothing "secret" about the Amish wintering there. They come down on buses, spend the days under the warm sun, etc. So I just found the headline to be an eye-roller, but the actual video story segment that goes with it is really neat and worth watching. I clicked on your link and really nothing was written about the time and so on. So I Googled the fire house for info and here is what I got.

I wish I had known about this earlier as our plans are already made for tomorrow. And of course I could find nothing in The Sun-Gazette.

Thanks for sharing this, Christine, yes, I was thinking of you when I posted the story, I was hoping you might be able to make it there!
