    March 9 Weigh-In

    Published: Mar 9, 2016 · Updated: Mar 9, 2016 by Kevin Williams | 10 Comments

    By Kevin Williams

Okay, maybe I am a loon for putting my weight out there.  But I don't really care.  I mean, if I am 280 pounds or 180 pounds, I am what I am.  And it helps someone else (or you don't worry about weight and just want to smugly laugh, that is fine too) then that is great.  And it helps sort of hold me accountable.  I'm not in any way boldly declaring that I am going to lose a bunch of weight, but posting still keeps me accountable to a gajillion people.

So here are my weight numbers going all the back to January 2015.  My lowest weight was almost 1 year ago today, when I was down to 223.7, BUT I was sick for a week and lost a lot of weight so that really is an outlier.  You can see by February of this year I had ballooned to my highest weight and really was concerned and made some small changes that have yielded some results. So far.  But we'll see if I continue. No guarantees.  This is a tough.

    JANUARY 20: 233.4

    JANUARY 27: 232.6
    FEBRUARY 3 : 233.6
    February 10: 234.00
    February 17: 232.2

    February 24: 230.4

    March 3: 230.00

    March 10: 223.7

    March 17: 226.3

    March 24: 229
    March 31: 231.4
    April 7: 229.6
    April 14: skipped
    April 21: 231.00
    April 28: 231.00

    MAY 5: 233.00

    May 12: 228.00

    June 9: 231.4

     Dec 17: 234.3
Feb 17, 2016: 239.00  (at this point grew alarmed and frustrated, switched out sweet tea for water and unsweetened and axed the breakfast sandwiches and replaced with fruit)
    March 9, 2016: 231.2

Losing weight is not as easy as some think unless one can afford those expensive "plans" and one wonders if they actually last when one finds out how much it is costing FOR REAL !!!! I wish you luck with your effort and ONE DAY AT A TIME is the way to go. Please keep posting and know that we care....about you and your pictures of Aster, too. She's a cutie !!!

I had my weight epiphany last May right before my 60th birthday. While you drank Coke, I drank beer. I stopped the beer, walked for at least 30 mins a day , and basically watched what I ate ( no real restrictions ). Though , I did cut down on carbs more. I also ate breakfast EVERY day. EAT THAT BREAKFASTand as that other writer said, DRINK LOTS OF WATER and make sure there's some protein as that satisfies. Now, almost 10 months later , I am down 65 lbs, jog 3 miles a day . I am an woman who went from a size 18 to a 10 ( 210 to 145 ). If I can do it, you can too!! I tried many times and failed. You gotta really want it and then commit!
Good luck, I'm pulling for you!

Thank you, Robin, that is inspiring...210 to 145 is extraordinary, like losing almost 1 /3 your body weight...congrats!

Losing weight is the hardest thing to do. I know it personally.
