Mennonite Store: JR's - Bainbridge, Ohio

JR's General Store, 4715 State Rte 41, Bainbridge, OH 45612 is an Old Order Mennonite-owned emporium of bulk foods and furniture in beautiful Ross County.

The store has a super selection of furniture, but also a section of bulk foods and a deli where you can get made-to-order sandwiches. Yum, I've stopped here before just for the custom-made sandwiches. Definitely worthwhile.  Here are some scenes:

    Cajun ham, anyone?

Martin's features a huge selection of different spices with explanatory signage so you can not only buy spices but learn about them.

Traditional gas lights illuminate Martin's. Also, bring cash or check, because they aren't able to process credit card orders.

Plenty of snack mix and such sold in bulk.

A Mennonite employee helps a customer.

We just left your store, and the receipt is totally incorrect. We purchased 7 bags of Claeys Horehound hard candies which were marked 1.19 each. We were charged 2.39 each. There was produce on the bill, but none was purchased. The lady did not check the receipt until we got home to Evendale, Ohio. Which is about 1 to 1/2 hours drive time. I left a message, but her sister said she has done that before and nobody calls back. Please call me back to give the overcharged money back to her. And the date shows 08112021. What a mess! She is sitting here right now. Thank you. Mary

Sounds like a mess, but I have no affiliation with JRs, I just wrote a post about them, you can call them, though, at (740) 634-2194
