Holmes County, Ohio continues to hold the title as the place in the world with the largest Amish population.I love Holmes and go there any chance I get. The hilly, winding roads make for wonderful scenery and my favorite activty there is just to explore the backroads. Here are a few photos from when I was there a month or so ago:

Because of the huge Amish population, land is scarce and expensive. Often you'll see farmhouses that have had many additions to accommodate a growing extended family...in some cases, you'll see two farmhouses side-by-side on the same lot...
