An all-in-one protein-packed egg skillet supper
Serve with a side of veggies or mix some in and you're got a great meal
Eggs are an essential part of any Amish cook's repertoire. They are protein-packed and plentiful on most Amish farms. And cheap. Free, usually. So eggs can feed a lot of people at almost no cost, pack a protein punch, and are always on hand. So those are a winning combination on an Amish farm.  "Skillet meals" like this one my mother made are VERY popular in Amish kitchens because they are just so easy to throw together. Here's my Mom's recipe:
Turkey Sausage Egg Skillet and 4 more Amish Egg favorites!
Ingredients
- Several links of turkey sausage
- hash browned potatoes
- onion
- mushrooms
- two eggs
- cheese shredded sharp cheddar
Instructions
- Brown the hashed browns in an olive oil coated skillet.
- Add mushrooms and onions.
- Add turkey sausage, eggs,and cheese
