Amish Pork Dishes

The Amish like to ham it up, literally. Most Amish households raise and butchering their own pigs which transform into a ready supply of bacon, hams, chops, ground pork, puddings, pies and other dishes. They use lots and waste little. Pork finds its way onto the grill, into the skillet, and packed into the casserole dish. The meat is economical and versatile. Whether it be baked and barbecued pork chops or ham meatballs, pork has a place on the Amish table.
