Wow, I ate too much on Easter Sunday, but it was hard not too with all the good food, candy, hot dishes, etc.  But I'll be back on track tomorrow, my stomach today I think, is protesting yesterdays's onslaught of sugar and endless foods.

I wanted to share this creative cake my mother-in-law made.  She was inspired by a "bunny cake" that she saw at Kroger, only they used a plastic face.  Brenda saw that and said "I can do better!" I like that spirit.  And she did.  She made a white cake and then using a mish-mash of makeshift molds came up with this cake.  The ears were the most difficult part, she wanted to make them floppy and pushed back.  One ear fell off shortly after we cut the cake and I joked with her that the it looked a bit like some of the belligerent bunnies from Watership Down, but it was a delicious, creative cake.  Thanks, mother-in-law!

We had a gorgeous Easter Sunday in southwest Ohio.  Aster , Rachel and I went to church and then over to mother-in-laws for some good food and some Easter egg hunting!  Aster proved herself to be a capable Easter egg hunter as you can see from the photos!

Your MIL did a great job on the cake. Good job! Aster is growing up way too fast. She looked adorable in the pictures of her hunting for Easter eggs. Yesterday was a gorgeous day. It's hard to believe after last night's thunderstorms and the temps falling into the 50s today.

Thank you for the kind words, Debbie, I'd take the warmth of Tallahassee over Ohio most days anyway! And, yea, I never even know what time that email will go out...I shoot for before noon, but that hardly ever, ever happens:(

Oh your Aster is a beautiful child and I love her dress! My Rachel is 12 and still enjoys the holiday bunny. I have to admit jelly beans make my sweet tooth happy as well.

Thanks, Mona, I know Georgia is a big state but you do have some interesting Beachy Amish communities in the state...Monetzuma is probably the best known

Hi Kevin! .. Tell your mother-in-law that the bunny cake looked wonderful. We had a very quiet Easter with just Hubby, Great-grand and myself. Aster is a cutie. Love her hair.
What I would like to know...what did you do with the energy drink? Did you end up drinking it? I know I would be climbing the wall all night if I drank any of it.

always good to hear from you, Karen, one of these days I'll make it to the Amish areas near you! I drank a couple sips of the energy drink and then tossed it, I value my sleep too much!
