    Emma Hershberger's Yummy Chicken

    This is just one of these easy Sunday afternoon chicken creations that the Amish are famous for.  My parents enjoyed this last weekend, so I thought I'd share it with you.  They are always up for trying one of the recipes in my vast archives and they loved this one, you will also.

    A nice, golden seasoning-crusted skin

    very typical Amish recipe

    Emma Hershberger's Yummy Chicken

    Ingredients
    • 4 cups cracker crumbs
    • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1 /2 teaspoon paprika
    • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
    • 1 stick of melted butter
    • 6 chicken breasts
    Instructions
    1. Preheat oven to 450
    2. Mix saltine crumbs with seasoning.
    3. Dip chicken in melted butter and then roll in crumbs.
    4. Put chicken on foil covered cookie sheet for 20 minutes and bake until golden and crisp

      Is that bone in chicken breast?

        Those are not boneless breasts pictured, that is bone-in, but this recipe would work fine with either!
