This is an Amish recipe for homemade taffy.

Amish Taffy
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 envelope plain gelatin
- 1 /4 stick butter
- 2 teaspoons flavoring (vanilla, spearmint or peppermint
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 inch paraffin wax
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Soak gelatin in cold water
- , then add rest of the ingredients.
- Cook to hard crack stage (250 degrees).
- Pour until buttered pans, pull until white.
