I have been to Mary's Market before, except then it was called Mary's Bakery. Now it is Mary's Market and it is one of my favorite Amish bakeries. There's something about Mary...her market is amazing and authentic. If you are looking for an authentic Amish bakery experience, this is it. It's located in a small, non-descript outbuilding and most of the baking is done by Mary herself. You'll hear her and some of her bakery helpers speaking in a deep dialect of Pennsylvania German and you'll find a couple of aisles stocked with everything from hand-made candies to homemade noodles and she even sells fresh eggs from her hens. I bought some and, man, the bright orange yolks...super tasting....
I visited Mary's about 10 years ago and made a video.  You can watch it here. Wow, I was younger looking.
Here are some scenes from Mary's:
just a plain white sign...
A small red outbuilding houses all this goodness, the address is 13506 Co Rd 265, Kenton, OH
Buggies outside...
I saw these long loaves of snake-shaped bread on a counter, they had not been bagged yet...I asked Mary what they were and she said "Italian Herb Bread" . I bought one and I have to say it was incredible, the flavor, the softness...just amazing...
Shelves of homemade and hand-made treats...
Take your pick! (Well, don't take it, take and pay) Bring cash or checkbook, Mary's does not take credit cards
