Reader Penny came through today with another hearty plate-piler. These “all in one”, dump and bake, suppers are very popular in Amish kitchens and this is one that you’d see served for supper. In this recipe you can use store-bought sausage. Most Amish cooks are going to have their own supply of home-butchered sausage so they probably wouldn’t buy links, but bought links would work fine in this recipe.
- 1 lb package of any precooked cocktail sausage of your choice
- 3 potatoes diced
- 2 peppers diced
- ½ large onion diced
- Butter tin foil on cookie sheet and spread out ingredients. Sprinkle favourite seasoning lightly over everything. 350 for about ½ hour or until potatoes are tender.
