Random Recipe Wednesday: Vegetable Chicken Casserole

    Published: Jul 26, 2017 · Updated: Jul 26, 2017 by Kevin Williams | Leave a Comment

    By Kevin Williams

This recipe isn't really a recipe, it is written as a set of instructions from an Amish cook.  Here is how she shares the recipe:

Take each vegetable according to family size: potatoes, carrots (cut small), and peas.  Cook each separately till almost soft.  Take a can of chicken, drain off liquid,, and make a thin gravy.  Cut chicken off the bone and pour potatoes, carrots, peas and cut-up chicken into a roaster or casserole and pour the seasoned gravy over the top of it.  Mix slightly.  Make a biscuit dough and then drop the dough on top of the mixture.  Put into oven until biscuits are done.  This makes a delicious meal. Bake at 350 for 15 - 20 minutes.  As a short-cut cook all the vegetables together.
