Yesterday's posts got me thinking about sour cream and its use in Amish recipes. Sour cream is usually plentiful on Amish farms and its inclusion in baked goods really infuses the confection with flavor.

AMISH SOUR CREAM SPICE CAKE:  Spice cake is one of my favorite cakes, so why not kick it up a notch by adding some sour cream to it? Yum! Click here for the recipe.

JULIA'S SOUR CREAM RAISIN BARS: This is a favorite recipe in The Amish Cook's house, easy for kids to make and enjoy! Click here.

SOUR CREAM RAISIN PIE:  This is a sour creamy twist on an old Amish favorite, click here for the recipe.

FROSTED SOUR CREAM CUT-OUT COOKIES:  Yummmmm, you'll want to make these for your Christmas cookies this year. Click here for the recipe.

SOUR CREAM APPLE PIE:  This recipe comes to us from Lyndonville, New York, a New Order Amish community that is known for their lush, crisp apple orchards that are really coming into fruition right now.  If anyone ever has a chance to visit the Lyndonville community, this is the time of year to do it! Click here for this amazing recipe!
