    Blueberry Dream and 6 Other Amish Bursting with Blueberry Recipes!

    Blueberries are a summer staple in Amish kitchens as the summer progresses.   Many Amish either grow their own or they frequent u-pick patches to get their blueberry supply.

    This super berry is then home-canned (although more progressive Amish with freezers are preserving food that way more and more) and enjoyed year-round.  Amish cooks press blueberries into coffeecakes, muffins, breads, rolls, and pies.  Some even blend it into juices.  The blueberry packs a punch of flavor and versatility.  Apparently, by the way, blueberry is a tough crop to make money on some years with unpredictable prices.     Our friend Jessica made this "Blueberry Dream"….delights and dream dishes are common in Amish kitchens and this recipe would right at home!   This was amazing flavor, yum! Enjoy!

    Amish Blueberry Dream Cake

    👩‍🍳 Ingredients

    • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
    • 1 /2 cup sugar
    • 1 stick butter, melted
    • 1 egg
    • 8 ounces cream cheese
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 /2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 / 8 cup sugar
    • 1 can blueberry pie filling
    • ½ pint whipped topping

    📋 Instructions

    1. Combine crackers, sugar, and butter and press into a 9 X 13 inch pan.
    2. Mix next 5 ingredients and spread over cracker mixture.
    3. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
    4. Cool, spread blueberry pie filling and let chill overnight.
    5. Next day cover with whipped topping.
