This is another recipe from the Amish Recipe Project. I'm not sure what settlement this came from but I had to kind of laugh when I see "Amish Cheddar Cheese" as an ingredient. Really, I'm not sure there's such a thing. I love cheese, but cheese is cheese. It matters less who is making it and more about the process. That said, there are some superb Amish cheesemakers out there, but it has more to do with the process they are following than their religion. I just found it funny that the Amish cook who submitted the recipe listed "Amish Cheddar" as an ingredient. I'm sure you can use any kind of Cheddar and this recipe will turn out just fine. Sounds tasty, enjoy!

- ½ c diced onion
- 1 c grated Amish cheddar cheese
- ¾ c milk
- ½ c oatmeal
- 1 egg
- Sauce:
