Daviess County One-Pan Peanut Cornflake Candy

    Published: Aug 19, 2014 · Updated: Aug 19, 2014 by Kevin Williams | 2 Comments

This is an easy recipe that an Amish woman in Daviess County, Indiana gave me for homemade cornflake candy using peanuts from her own garden.  I think this sounds good, I mentioned the recipe to my wife, Rachel, and she was less-than-enthralled at the sound of it.  So you be the judge!:)  Here is her recipe:

Daviess County One-Pan Peanut Cornflake Candy

    Print
    Ingredients
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup light corn syrup
    • 1¼ cups peanut butter
    • 6 cups corn flakes
    • 1 cup homegrown peanuts
    Instructions
    1. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a dutch oven.
    2. Bring to a boil.
    3. Remove from heat.
    4. Stir in peanut butter.
    5. Add corn flakes and peanuts and stir until all are coated with syrup mixture.
    6. Spread the mix out into a 13 x 9 dish and cut into squares.
    7. Let set before cutting.
