This is our weekly walk down memory lane. Our weekly review of past posts gives a chance for newbies to see some posts you missed and regulars to reconnect with old favorites. This week, it's all a piece of cake! Many different kinds of cakes actually. We have a peanut butter lover's cake, peach upside cake, Amish wedding cake, Lazy Woman's Cake, and rhubarb coffee cake. So take your pick of cake and enjoy!
Amish Wedding Cake
AMISH WEDDING CAKE: Look at this beautiful cake! Click here to read more about it. I wish I had gotten the recipe, I do know the Amish baker who used it was working from a homemade mix. And, as the post says, there will be variations from place to place in how wedding cakes look. The more conservative an Amish settlement is, generally, the plainer the cakes will look.
LAZY WOMAN'S CAKE (no I don't make up the names for most of these recipes): Click here for the recipe for this easy classic.
MENNONITE PEACH UPSIDE DOWN CAKE: Yum to this timeless favorite, click here for the recipe.
PEANUT BUTTER LOVER'S CAKE: Ah, my personal favorite (I've just been on a real peanut butter kick) peanut butter cake. Yum. Click here for this recipe.
RHUBARB COFFEECAKE: Click here!
And there you have your "Friday Favorites!"
