Easy Cake Mix Cookies are just like they sound: easy to make and tastes like cake!

Mmmmmm, these cookies tasted like, well, cake.  They really did. At first I thought they were just a really tasty sugar cookie. I couldn't quite place the taste.  But when I asked the baker who made them what they were she replied "Cake Mix Cookies" and I was like "Aha!", I knew the taste was familiar.  So if you want the taste of a cake in a cookie, these are for you!

These cookies were served at a German Baptist church function that I attended last week. There were tables covered with cookies and cakes and bars and this one was definitely one of my favorite.  The German Baptist woman who made them was nice enough to share her recipe with us.

Hi Kevin, I just read your comment about why most of the listers seem to have liked information about your weight "battle" than about the German Brethren. I offer a possible reason: many of your readers have been with you in one form or another since the early days, and have identified strongly with you as first a young man and now a settled, married father and serious guy!
They sincerely like you and are interested in the daily details of your life. Other subjects are interesting, but to hear about you and what you and your family are doing now is the focus for most of them. I don't have any suggestions for you as to how to change this, but I think that's it. People love to share in the lives of other people and they all love you!
