    Authentic Amish Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Published: Nov 2, 2017 · Updated: Nov 2, 2017 by Kevin Williams | Leave a Comment

    Chocolate Chip Cookies

    1 cup oil

    1 /2 cup white sugar

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    ½ teaspoon water

    2 eggs

    1 teaspoon soda

    1 teaspoon salt

    3 1 /4 cups flour

    1 full cup chocolate chips

Mix oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.  Then add water and dry ingredients.  Editor's Note:  the recipe ends here.  The Amish cook assumes you know what to do.  Well, okay.  I'd then drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet and bake 350 for about 15 minutes or until the edges are golden.    If you're not in a hurry, refrigerate the dough overnight, that always makes cookies like this even better!
