This is a recipe that an Amish woman sent to me years ago. Very simple. I wish I had a photo of it, although it's probably not a ton to look at because it is so, so simple.
Now, note this recipe does call for the hamburger to fry in lard. That would make a HUGE taste difference. Â You can, however, fry it in whatever you prefer.

EMMA'S STEAK SUPREME
2 pounds hamburger
2 eggs
1 /2 cup dry bread crumbs
2 teaspoons salt
6 tablespoons onion, chopped fine
Heat lard in skillet. Press meat into skillet to about one-inch thickness. Brown on both sides. Add a can of mushroom soup and the same of water. Â Cover tightly and simmer for 20 minutes.
