- 2 lbs chicken breast
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- Sauce:
- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 dash paprika
📋Mennonite Farmhouse Chicken Instructions
- Preheat over 350°
- Add butter to shallow baking dish, melt.
- Dip chicken in butter & roll in flour, salt & pepper. then arrange skin side up in baking dish. (sprinkle with paprika)
- Cook chicken for 45-60 mins until done.
- Add drippings from chicken, water, sour cream, flour, salt, pepper & paprika to sauce pan, bring to boil stirring constantly.
- Pour sauce over chicken then serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.
