Homemade creme horns from one of my favorite Amish bakeries
By Kevin Williams
I have written a lot about Keim Family Market over the years to the point that I didn't think there was much else to say but an Ohio PR firm recently did a feature story that I thought dug pretty deeply and was worth sharing. I have a long history with Keim going back to when I was 16 years old. To this day it remains one of my favorite Amish businesses and bakeries. I think they've done a great job of maintaining quality and ambiance as they've grown over the years.
Several years ago Dan Miller bought the business from original owners Roy and Mattie Keim (who sold the business and moved to Michigan). Under Miller's stewardship the doughnuts remain fantastic, their warm soft pretzels are first rate as is their selection of furniture. And Keim's location in the beautiful rugged hills of Adams County, Ohio doesn't hurt one bit either. You can read this interesting story here.
And here is a short video tour I did of Keim Market several years ago.
